Facility Services

Proteomics

  • In-gel/solution digests: $130 for the first sample plus $30 for each additional sample processed at the same time.
  • Molecular weight measurements (MALDI or ESI): $130 for the first sample plus $30 for each additional sample processed at the same time.
  • Nano-LC-MS (MSMS) using Obitrap Eclipse Tribrid or Q Exactive HF: Includes first-pass automated database search and quantification. Price depends on gradient length (determined by sample complexity). Standard runs: $120/60 min; $150/90 min; $180/120 min.
  • Hydrogen-deuterium exchange: $225/timepoint (includes HDX reaction, on-line digestion and LC-MS).
  • Data analysis (extensive database searches, manual validation of spectrum assignments, component quantitation, identification of protein modification/mutation sites, preparation of figures for publication, etc): $120/hour.

Other Services

  • SDS-PAGE analysis: $75/gel (Can include up to 9 samples)
  • Analytical and preparative HPLC with/without fraction collection: $175/sample
  • Pricing for additional services will be assessed on a project-to-project basis, depending on the estimated staff and instrumentation time required. An estimate will be provided prior to initiation of a project.

Direct instrument access

  • ABI-MDS SCIEX 4800 MALDI-TOF/TOF :
    • Annual user fee of $2,200/lab plus $30/hour instrument usage time.
    • $180/hour, suitable for occasional users who prefer not to pay the annual user fee. Must demonstrate operational knowledge of the instrument or pay for the training offered by the facility for $300.
    • Users are responsible for providing their own reagents. New sample plates are available from the facility for $60/plate.
  • LC-MS on Q-Exactive (nanospray and electrospray): $100/hour
  • Use of other HPLCs: $70/hour
