How your generous gift helps
-
Important cutting edge medical research in the areas of infectious disease, cancer, and neurodevelopmental/neurodegenerative disorders including AIDS, hepatitis C, influenza, leukemia/lymphoma, autism, and metabolic diseases, facilitated by collaboration among investigators with expertise in different disciplines.
Vital educational and training opportunities for undergraduate/ graduate students and post-doctoral fellows as they develop into the next generation of medical research scientists.
-
Undergraduate students conducting research in CABM laboratories have an opportunity to participate in a nine-week summer program. In addition to training and mentoring in individual laboratories, students meet weekly as a group with graduate student and postdoctoral program leaders to discuss and present their research projects and to learn about research challenges and career opportunities from faculty speakers. Many summer research scholars continue doing research in CABM laboratories for credit during the academic year and go on to graduate and medical schools and careers in science and biomedicine. CABM gratefully acknowledges corporate and private donations that support this program.
-
CABM hosts an annual seminar series promoting its goal of the advancement of knowledge in the life sciences for the improvement of human health. The CABM Lecture Series is open to all in the Rutgers community.
