Lyu Lab

The Lyu Laboratory investigates the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying host–microbe interactions in cancer and inflammatory disorders. Our research seeks to understand how microbes influence inflammation, tumor progression, and therapeutic responses through the regulation of host metabolism and immune function. We also study microbial antigen-specific lymphocytes and develop approaches to track these cells, with a particular interest in understanding their roles in inflammation and cancer. By integrating mechanistic, multi-omic, and translational studies, we aim to uncover fundamental mechanisms that can be leveraged to develop novel preventive and therapeutic strategies.
