Research Teaching Specialist V

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Research Teaching Specialist V for the Center for Advanced Biotechnology & Medicine (CABM) within Rutgers, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.

Under the direction of the Principal Investigator (PI), the Research Teaching Specialist V (RTS V) conducts specialized research and performs various research and technical operations relative to the ongoing
investigatory activities of the laboratory. The RTS V will be responsible for the performance and analysis of experiments focused on RNA metabolism in stem cells, development and disease, using in vitro cellular models as well as transgenic mice. The project is part of a larger effort in the lab to identify molecular players involved
in RNA metabolism in the context of health and disease. The RTS_V, will be responsible for planning and performing experiments requiring the application of standard cell and molecular biology techniques as well as
mouse genetics. The RTS V may assist with coordinating a team of undergraduate students involved in this effort and will work closely with the PI and Postdoctoral (Postdoc) Fellow to allocate tasks and oversee progress. This is a grant-funded position contingent on the availability of funds to support it.
