Bio

Zhan Gao has been working on the microbiome for more than 15 years and is currently involved in most of the microbiome studies in the Blaser lab. Studies include the effect of antibiotics in obesity, metabolic and immunologic diseases by using mouse model, and molecular biology of the microbiome in skin, stomach, intestine and kidney diseases, as well as microbial, immune, metabolic perturbations by antibiotics.
