Bio

Dr. Saini is a young Scientist. She received her Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Department of Biochemistry, University of Delhi, India in February 2022. She made significant contribution in the area of drug discovery by identifying and designing potential drug like candidates against a therapeutic enzyme DBH to circumvent hypertension. In addition, she also identified and validated a new drug target ARL15 in association to Rheumatoid arthritis.

In May 2022, Dr. Saini was recruited to join as a postdoctoral associate in the lab of distinguished Prof. Eddy Arnold at CABM, Rutgers and is working on unravelling the diverse complex structures of viruses.

Research Focus

Structure function relationship of viral proteins with a special emphasis on RNA-dependent RNA polymerase of flavivirus (DENV, YFV, WNV, ZIKV) and enterovirus (A71, D68)
