Bio
Daphne received her B.S. in Food Science at North Carolina State University and her Ph.D in Food Science and Clinical and Translational Sciences at Penn State. During her doctoral studies she examined the anti-inflammatory effect of cocoa in obesity. As a postdoctoral fellow she aims to discover if oxytocin derived from the gut impacts social behavior in mouse models of Autism Spectrum Disorder. In her free time, she enjoys writing and playing music and even has songs published on Spotify.
