Lydia Kirsche is a graduate student in the lab of Prof. Dr. Anne Müller at the Institute for Molecular Cancer Research, University of Zurich. Her research focuses on understanding how various microbial stimuli impact the immune system, using advanced methods such as high-dimensional flow cytometry and developing disease models in mice. Lydia holds a Master's degree in Molecular Medicine from Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena, where she conducted a systematic analysis of HPV-DNA integrants within cervical precancers. She also earned a Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biotechnology from TU Dresden and completed an internship at Eurofins Medigenomix Forensik GmbH, where she worked on Next Generation Sequencing. Additionally, she tutors courses in laboratory animal handling.
