4-H Rutgers Teen Cafe is a fun, out-of-school program that allows teens to explore the big advances in science and technology affecting their lives. CABM hosted its first Teen Café event and the first Teen Café since the pandemic this weekend.
Middle and high schoolers learned about how their food choices affect their microbiome and health. They had a chance to participate in the Gut Wars game and taste microbiome-friendly and -unfriendly foods.
The day ended with a lunch with scientists during which the students could ask the researchers both professional and personal questions about their everyday jobs.
