Biography

Trey Dix is a Research Teaching Specialist for Dr.Nobuta’s lab at the Robert Wood Johnson Center for Advanced Biotechnology and Medicine.  Trey is also a second year medical student at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. At Syracuse University, he conducted leukemia cell research in collaboration with Dr. Thomas Fondy, a Biology of Cancer Professor.  This research focused on finding a less invasive chemotherapeutic treatment for leukemia, using low frequency ultrasound in combination with cytoskeletal directed agents.

He joined the Nobuta lab in April 2021 and he is using cellular reprogramming as a means of drug discovery for leukodystrophies.
